Job description -Reporting to the Lead Engineer you are responsible for the Civil, Structural and Temporary Works design within multi:discipline engineering, EPCM or EPC projects -Project predominantly reside in the UK, but you will be expected to carry out projects for Europe and potentially wider areas of the Bilfinger business areas -These projects will range across the full lifecycle from concept to commissioning, in both green and brownfield applications -The projects will vary in complexity and size, delivered for all the major sectors (Oil and Gas, Nuclear, Energy, Utilities, Chemicals, Petrochemicals and Food) -You are responsible for completing the Civil and Structural Engineering and Design as set out in the Project Scope. -You shall support the Lead Engineer in delivering the Civil and Structural design within budget and planning. This includes change control and consistency of the Process design with the other disciplines -You are responsible for the quality of the Civil and Structural Engineering deliverables -You will participate in internal and external design reviews and present your designs to the Lead Engineer -Depending on size and complexity you may be a Civil and Structural Engineer for one project or a portfolio of projects -You shall be able to deliver projects in a multi:discipline environment and be capable of coordinating all Civil and Structural Engineering, with the other disciplines, EC and I, Mechanical and Piping, Process and Automation Your profile If you have the following profile, then we are looking forward to meeting you -More than 3 years of experience as a Civil and Structural Engineer, in single and multi:discipline projects, in an Engineering / EPCM / EPC company, in one of the above:mentioned sectors -Good knowledge of Civil and Structural engineering and design, but you also have a sound knowledge of the other disciplines (Automation, Mechanical, Piping, EC and I and Process) -Good knowledge of Temporary Works design including familiarity with BS 5975 and industry good practices, able to satisfy design brief, develop detailed design documentation, liaise with the Principal Designer and Temporary Works coordinator, advise of any risks (erection, use, dismantling) not obvious to a competent contractor -MEng / BEng / HNC / HND in Civil and Structural Engineering -Because of the variety of projects that we execute, we are looking for both experienced and less experienced candidates. -Experienced with the production of civil and structural specifications, scopes of work, calculations, drawings and schedules -Experience with the application of Eurocodes within the UK -Experienced with the main C and S design packages including , AutoCAD, AutoCAD 3D, Staad Pro, Tedds and all Microsoft office packages -SC Clearance (Preferred) -Result oriented.
