The Role: The role is based at our Materials Recycling Facility in Purfleet RM15 4YA. As one of Londons biggest waste and recycling firms which is quickly growing winning prestigious contracts, this is an excellent opportunity for the right person. We are looking for someone bright and ambitious, hard:working and flexible that will be with us for the long run. As our Trainee Logistics Supervisor, reporting to Head of Operations, you will be learning all aspects of our logistics department starting with route planning. You will learn how to plan routes, route optimisation, reporting and covering holiday. You will also be involved in debriefing our drivers and helping them out on the road when issues arise. Responsibilities: The role also incudes (but is not limited to): * Assist route planner with planning routes, route optimisation, reporting and covering route planner holiday* Debrief drivers, ensuring job details discussed in full and RFID completed on debrief* Deputise for shift manager ensuring all collections completed successfully* Administration* Recruitment and training* Dealing with day to day issues on the road* Parking tickets* Matching weight data to clients duties* Any other duties as requested About you: * 2 years experience within a busy logistics office* Live within 1 hours drive of Purfleet RM15* Good computer skills in Microsoft programmes* Good written and spoken English Benefits: * 22 days holiday.
