Quantity Surveyor

Description:
Randstad C and P are currently recuriting on behalf of a specialist subcontractor working on civils, groundworks and highways projects across Berkshire and Buckinghamshire The role offers an opportunity to work for a company with a great culture, progressional opportunities and a strong salary. Responsibilities: * Monitor and control project costs to ensure the project remains within the budget. * Identify and manage any cost variations or overruns. * Assist in the preparation of tender documents for groundworks. * Analyze and evaluate tenders from subcontractors and suppliers. * Ensure all submissions comply with the project specifications and requirements. * Review and understand the main contract and subcontract agreements. * Administer the contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions. * Handle contractual issues and disputes as they arise. * Carry out regular site measurements and valuations of the work completed. * Prepare interim and final valuation statements for payments to subcontractors and suppliers. * Ensure accurate records of work progress and materials used. * Source and negotiate with suppliers for materials and services required for the project. * Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to avoid project delays. * Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality. * Prepare and submit regular financial reports to the project management team and stakeholders.
