Position Overview: As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a critical role in managing the financial aspects of our residential construction projects. You will be responsible for cost management, contract administration, and financial reporting, ensuring that projects are delivered within budget and to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for residential construction projects. * Develop and maintain cost plans, ensuring adherence to budgets and financial targets. * Manage contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients, including negotiation and administration. * Monitor project progress and costs, providing regular financial reports and forecasts. * Conduct value engineering assessments to identify cost:saving opportunities. * Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, building codes, and company policies. * Collaborate with project managers, site managers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met. * Resolve contractual disputes and claims efficiently and effectively. * Conduct site inspections and quality control checks to ensure high standards of workmanship. * Mentor and support junior quantity surveyors and other team members. Requirements: * Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. * Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the residential construction sector. * Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and best practices. * Excellent contract management and negotiation skills. * Proficiency in cost estimation software and project management tools. * Strong analytical and problem:solving abilities. * Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously. * Membership in relevant professional bodies (e.g., RICS) is highly desirable. * Valid CSCS card and relevant certifications.
