Geotechnical Engineer : Consultancy of the Year : Manchester Our client is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join their dynamic team. Additionally, one of their group companies was ranked within the Top 100 Most Inclusive Workplaces in the UK at the FREDIE Awards in recent years and another was named Large Consultancy of the Year recently at the Chartered Institute of Environmental Management. Responsibilities: * Manage and deliver multiple projects concurrently. * Prepare factual geo:environmental and interpretative contaminated land reports, including Desk Studies, Phase II Site Investigations, and remediation strategies. * Organise and manage resources, mentor junior staff, and supervise geo:environmental ground investigations. * Assist in the production of proposals and tenders. Requirements: * Excellent written and numerical skills, including report writing and data interpretation using Microsoft Word and Excel. Familiarity with software such as Holebase and other logging software, AutoCAD, Surfer is a plus. * Demonstrable competency in site work, including an understanding of Health and Safety procedures, guidance, and requirements. * 3+ years of experience in the field. * Understanding of laboratory testing and interpreting results, with a working knowledge of geotechnical and environmental guidance, particularly BS10175. * BSc degree level qualified in Geology or a related Environmental subject. * Full driving license and access to a car.
