HGV Class 1 Shunters Wanted In DONCASTER Logistics People are looking for HGV Shunters/HGV Class 1 Shunters/LGV Shunters/LGV Class 1 Shunters working on a Full time Equivalent (FTE) basis at our Stobarts Goole depot. Location : Doncaster DN11 0BG Working Hours : 4 On 4 Off Days and Night Shifts Available Pay rates: * Days: A GBP 15.67 P/hr Equivalent to A GBP 28,000 P/a* Nights: A GBP 16.23 P/hr Equivalent to A GBP 29,000 P/a About this Role: * Vehicle checks are carried out in accordance with the manufactures handbook or maintenance schedule relevant to the vehicle being checked.* Ensuring vehicles, prior to departure, are correctly loaded and that the load is secured. Periodic checks are to be made during the journey.* Ensuring the safe movement of large vehicles and trailers around a construction site* Adhering to strict health and safety guidelines* Completing safety assessments* Ensuring handover procedures are correctly implemented when passing goods on to other workers.* To ensure the safe and efficient movement of vehicles between parking bays and loading bays.* Report any vehicle accidents and mechanical defects. About You * You should hold a valid HGV 1/C+E Licence and have a minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience.* No more than 6 points no DD/ DR Code convictions* Hold a current valid DCPC and Tacho cards* Previous experience as a shunter or in a similar role is preferred* Understand and able to comply with Drivers hours and WTD legislation* Good communication and teamwork skills* Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends* Able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly* Should comply with on:site health and safety requirements* Excellent communication skills About Logistics People The Logistics People are the inhouse recruiter for the Culina Group LTD recruiting for both FTE and Ad Hoc driving roles.
