Job Vacancy: Full:Time Primary School Teacher (ECTs Welcome) Location: Thornton HeathPosition: Year 3 TeacherStart Date: September 2024 Overview: A lovely primary school in Thornton Heath is seeking a full:time Year 3 teacher to join their dedicated and culturally enriched educational community. This role welcomes both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to begin their teaching career in a supportive and faith:based environment. The successful candidate will start in September 2024 and be part of a team committed to academic excellence and the nurturing of Greek Orthodox values. Primary School Teacher Key Responsibilities: * Curriculum Delivery: Design and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons for Year 3 students, adhering to the National Curriculum and the schools Greek Orthodox ethos. * Classroom Management: Create a positive, respectful classroom environment that encourages learning and supports student well:being. * Student Assessment: Conduct regular assessments of student progress, providing feedback and tailoring instruction to meet individual learning needs. * Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support students educational and spiritual development. * Faith Integration: Incorporate Greek Orthodox values and teachings into the curriculum, fostering a deeper understanding of faith and culture among students. * Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practices and stay current with educational trends. Primary School Teacher Requirements: * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Must hold a valid teaching qualification. * Experience: Open to both experienced teachers and ECTs. Previous experience in a primary school setting is beneficial. * Passion for Teaching: A genuine enthusiasm for teaching and a commitment to creating a positive, inclusive learning environment. * Cultural and Religious Sensitivity: An understanding and appreciation of Greek Orthodox culture and faith, with the ability to integrate these into teaching practices. * Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues. * Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute positively to the school community.
