Learn More About Our Company Job Purpose The Graduate Engineer acts as a trainee with the Engineering department. The engineer will work with senior colleagues in the department on specific tasks to acquire experience and training in all aspects of the role. The engineer will progress to provide technical assessment, analysis and data review for space projects, with support from the Principal and Senior Engineers. The candidate will have a STEM background, and a keen interest in working on space projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Supports customer projects by performing tasks under guidance from the Principal and Senior Engineers: :Analysis of the electrical, thermal and mechanical performance of the battery:Specification of battery components e.g. heaters:Work with CAD Manager to generate drawings:Support in:build technical checks:Support technical checks during the battery test campaign, including support to testing at external sites, e.g. vibration:Review of test data, and correlation to predicted performance:Produce project documentation such as analysis reports, battery user manuals, test plans, and test reports:Support communication on technical matters to the project team:Support inputs to technical papers and presentations:Supports department level process management documentation:Supports continuous improvement in the department Qualifications and Experience:A degree in STEM subject, or industry equivalent qualification Experience Required :Good level of IT skills for data analysis, modelling, results presentation and reporting:Attention to detail and an ability to examine and present data clearlyDesirable Specialisation in the following key areas would be beneficial: :Mechanical design and analysis:Thermal design and analysis:Li:ion battery performance:Reliability and failure modes EnerSys provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
