The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the installation, configuring and maintenance of telephony systems for clients.Telecom Systems Engineer 60 Field based role with remainder office based near Huddersfield Context Recruitment are excited to offer an opportunity to join a leading IT service provider as a Telecom Systems Engineer. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the installation, configuring and maintenance of telephony systems for clients. Your expertise will ensure seamless communication services and optimal performance.This privately-owned IT service provider is a business of the year winner and have an excellent reputation for providing a broad range of products and services across Telephony, Data Connectivity & Mobile to both direct and indirect customers. Key responsibilities: Install, configure and troubleshoot hosted telephony and telecom equipment including switches, routersCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of telecom systemsPerform routine maintenance, upgrades and repairs on field equipmentTest and validate telephony installations to meet quality standardsRespond promptly to service requests and resolve technical issues in a timely mannerConduct network testing and performance evaluationsProvide technical support to clients and end-usersDocument all field activities, including site visits, equipment installations and maintenance tasks Required skillset: Knowledge of hosted telephony systems, protocols and standardsPrevious telephony installation experience required. Flexible on vendor experience; Zillion, NFON, 8x8, Mitel, Avaya, 3CX – training givenRelevant qualifications such as CCNA are advantageousCisco Meraki experience is desirableMust be confident with client interaction Please note, this predominantly a field based role therefore, full driving license is required. Up to £32k DoE + 6k Car Allowance and Mileage
