We are seeking a Proposals Engineer to join a well established global manufacturer. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and submitting proposals for projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with client requirements. The Proposals Engineer will play a crucial role in securing new business opportunities and maintaining strong client relationships.We are seeking a Proposals Engineer to join a well established global manufacturer. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and submitting proposals for projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with client requirements. The Proposals Engineer will play a crucial role in securing new business opportunities and maintaining strong client relationships.As Proposal or Tender Engineer you will a all RFQ's and also preparing accurate cost estimates from pre-agreed costings for submission of quotations – including Specification review, critique and negotiation. Liaise with purchasing to ensure that “bought-out” requirements are understood and that availability meets project timescales Work with manufacturing to arrive at manufacturing methods & times Ensure that manufacturing capacity is available to suit project requirements and timescales Provide internal support for our external sales managers Interpretation and comprehension of customer requirements. Core design skills competence in materials selection, gear rating, shaft and bearing analysis, other drive system elements including structures and lubrication systems.At least 2 years in a relevant role. Knowledge of engineering technology; Understanding of product costing methods. Knowledge of manufacturing techniques and business systems. Commercially aware. Able to effectively represent the company at a senior level with suppliers and customers Experience of SAP would be preferred Negotiating – Able to negotiate skilfully in with internal and external groups. Customer Focus – Demonstrates determination to satisfy customers.
