Walsall Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Attendance Officer to join their School Attendance Support Service on a 12-month contract, with the possibility of extension. Driving Licence, access to own vehicle and Business Insurance are essential requirements for this role.Walsall Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Attendance Officer to join their School Attendance Support Service on a 12-month contract, with the possibility of extension. Driving Licence, access to own vehicle and Business Insurance are essential requirements for this role. Location: Hybrid basis – home/school visits around Walsall Borough, WFH 1 day a weekWorking hours: Monday - Thursday 8.45am - 5.15pm with 1 hour unpaid break, Friday's 8.45am - 4.45pm with 1 hour unpaid break. 37 hours per week.Pay: £14.41 Per hour Key Responsibilities: To support the School Attendance Support Service with home visits to support attendance.To liaise with schools, professionals, and other agencies to address attendance concerns.Maintain accurate and appropriate records in respect of casework.Contribute to the positive development and welfare of children and young people in Walsall.
