Urban Designer for Leading Residential Developer Permanent / Full Time / Hybrid Salary: £45,000 - £45,000 DOE About the Role At Zesty Work we are very excited to share with you the details on this fantastic opportunity, currently for a rapidly growing, award-winning residential consultancy studio.With offices across the country, our client is looking to take on a Urban Designer at their London based office. Key Responsibilities Produce high-quality drawings in support of projects.Carry out competent research, analysis, and assessments to drive strategic planning decisions. Survey sites, programs, regulations, and policies using quantitative and qualitative methods. Produce expert development calculations in line with specified standards and proposed controls. Arrange subconsultant activities and manage project deliverables independently.Execute quality assurance and quality control of project documents.Produce and deliver complete planning applications, reports, and appeals.Communicate with local governments, public officials, and stakeholders throughout the planning process. Engage in client and public processes and presentations, demonstrating teamwork and resourcefulness. Offer mentorship and guidance to junior team members.Stay updated on ever changing planning regulations, policies, and urban development movements in the UK. About You The ideal candidate will have: Over 3 years of UK experience in an architectural or urban design practice, focusing on residential and mixed-use projects. Master's degree in urban design, preferably with an architectural background; other relevant backgrounds considered based on portfolio and experience. Strong portfolio showcasing creative design and graphic skills.Exceptional communication skills for effective teamwork. Confidence in correspondence with clients and stakeholders.Have efficient problem-solving skills.Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, AutoCAD, and/or SketchUp for rendering and visualisation. Excellent hand-drawing skills.Outstanding time management, with the ability to handle workload around tight deadlines. Willingness to learn, share knowledge, with a passion for career progression.
