Geotechnical Engineer Location: Derby Reference: BY1391 Salary: GBP25,000 : GBP30,000 A ground investigation consultancy based in Derby and with other 30 years of experience in the industry are seeking a driven Geotechnical Engineer to join the team on a variety of specialist projects around the East Midlands. This expanding team has plenty of new and exciting geotechnical and geo:environmental projects to work on and can offer excellent career progression prosects. The Geotechnical Engineer selected will be: * Contributing to and carrying out site investigations. * Borehole logging and trial pitting. * Carrying out contaminated land risk assessments and Phase 1 Desktop Studies. * Writing factual and interpretive reports. * Recommending and implementing foundation and remediation designs. * Liaising closely with clients and supervising investigations. Therefore the Geotechnical Engineer successful in their application will have experience as a geotechnical/geo:environmental engineer or consultant (with good site experience), have a degree in geology, geoscience, environmental engineering or geotechnical engineering, hold a clean and valid UK Driving licence and live in or close to Derby. A full right to work in the UK is also essential.
