Randstad Education is currently recruiting for a DT Teacher to support our client in Sheffield. The secondary school is located in Sheffield S8 and is dedicated to ensuring their students receive quality education and support to build curiosity, consideration and commitment. The setting wants a DT Teacher who can contribute not only to the education of their students but the development and enhancement of the DT department and the school as a whole. We are proud to be preferred suppliers for several of the largest Multi Academy Trusts across South Yorkshire, in accordance with the National CCS framework (Crown Commercial Service) The secondary school is looking for a DT Teacher who can immerse themselves in the DT Teacher role to inspire and enhance their students understanding and knowledge of the Design Technology curriculum and be a positive role model for students. The DT Teacher vacancy is a full time vacancy and is to start September 2024. All applicants must be available and eligible to work full time and available to start in September with potential for interview before the end of the current academic year. Why join Randstad Education? * Excellent rate of pay (GBP140 : 211.96 daily rate). * A dedicated and friendly consultant, who will provide ongoing support. * Full time employment * A generous Refer a Friend scheme which allows the chance to earn GBP300 of Love2Shop Vouchers per friend, after a qualifying period (T and Cs apply) To be successful in the DT Teacher role, you should: * (Must) Hold QTS qualification or equivalent. * (Must) Hold a DT qualification. * (Must) Hold eligibility to work in the UK. * Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to process one through Randstad). * Previous experience teaching KS3/ KS4. * Previous experience teaching the DT curriculum. * A passion for DT * Strong behaviour and classroom management skills. As a DT Teacher, you will be: * Creating and presenting inspiring DT lessons. * Complete risk assessments and preparations for practicals. * Marking and assessing students work. * Ensure students are working towards objectives and the DT curriculum. * Manage the classroom to support all students learning needs. * Build rapport with your students and other members of the DT department. important notice and next steps: Please note all applicants must hold eligibility to work in the UK.
