We are now recruiting for a Fabric Technician covering the DH, DL, HG, HU, NE, SR, TS and YO postcode areas Job reference number Salary : GBP 27,673.68 to GBP 30, per annum dependent upon skills and experience plus standby allowance c GBP 290 per week, when on rota. 22.5 days annual leave, rising to 25 after 5 years' service plus bank holidays. Contract TypePermanent Working HoursFull time 37.5 hours per week (excluding meal breaks). Typical attendance will be 08:00 : 16:00 Monday to Friday. The successful applicant will be required to join an out of hours callout rota 1 in 6 weeks covering a wider area. Flexibility around attendance is essential. About the role The Fabric Technician is the main person who will have contact with the end users or main customers. They work closely with their colleagues, with other Building Engineering Technicians and Asset Technicians across the business, and with Fabric Team Managers. They provide knowledge of the Building Fabric industry to the customer and ensure that a first class service is always given to the customer ensuring their premises are secure and safe at all times. The Fabric Technician will apply their skill and technical knowledge to a range of different situations that require previous experience and judgement in order to solve fabric related problems or to ensure completion of projects. Ensure full compliance with RMPFS health and safety policies and procedures to ensure safety of colleagues, customers and the public. About You We are looking for someone who is computer literate particularly in electronic management systems and email. You will have effective communication skills being able to actively listen and transmit important messages to the customer and liaise with customers at all levels being able to understand customer requirements. You will have a sound knowledge and practical experience of carpentry and wet trades and have a good knowledge of Building Fabric product.
