Senior Finance Analyst Location: London Contract: Temporary 3-months initial Rate: £450-500 per day umbrella Start Date: ASAP Hybrid Working Contact: XXXX@servicecare.org.Senior Finance Analyst Location: London Contract: Temporary 3-months initial Rate: £450-500 per day umbrella Start Date: ASAP Hybrid Working Contact: XXXX@servicecare.org.ukJob Description Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in London for a Senior Finance Analyst HRA on a temporary basis. The postholder will support the Head of Finance in developing the overall sound financial framework that helps to ensure viable, value for money and timely investment in housing and estates. The Senior Finance Analyst will contribute to the overall HRA financial strategy and long-term stability of the HRA Business Plan by ensuring the appropriate balance between investment in new housing, existing stock and services. The postholder will have line management responsibility for two Finance Analysts and supporting Graduate Trainees that work on rotational basis. They will ensure budget monitoring position is understood and mitigating corrective action taken where an overspend is projected.Main Responsibilities Provide robust and clear financial advice to senior stakeholders, presenting information on all financial matters relating to the HRA to committees and forums as requiredManaging the monthly financial monitoringAssisting in the submission of and understanding of various statutory and benchmarking returns, as well as bidding documentationProviding finance consideration on all reports for governance purposesOverseeing budget modelling to determine financial impact of future service demands, changes in legislation and other factors determining resource requirementsReviewing benchmarking information and supporting the service with identifying action plans for efficiencies and savingsSupporting the delivery of projects with a complex financial implications or strategic projectsSupporting services in identification of funding sources for projects and preparation of bidding documentationClosing the accounts annually, ensuring statutory deadlines are met CandidateCriteria Qualified CCAB/CIMA Accountant, preferably CIPFA Experience of working at a Senior level in HRA Finance within a Local Authority is essentialExperience of preparing the HRA annual statement of accounts and notes from start to finishExperience of maintaining financial models for rent setting, service charge reviews and the HRA Business PlanGreat communication skills and ability to work professionally and adapt to any team fit.
