Look no further We are currently recruiting for a full:time TA position at an esteemed SEN school situated in North West London catering specifically to secondary:aged students with ASD and challenging behaviours. We understand the significance of finding individuals who possess the patience and resilience required to assist students with ASD in a school:based setting. In this role, you will play a vital part in creating a safe and inclusive environment that empowers these exceptional students to overcome their challenges and achieve their full potential. Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant (ASD) at a secondary level include: 1 Providing one:on:one and group support to students with ASD, focusing on their individual needs and adapting teaching strategies accordingly. 2 Assisting in the development and implementation of personalised learning plans, ensuring that each students educational goals are met. 3 Employing effective behaviour management techniques to help students with challenging behaviours regulate their emotions and engage positively in the learning environment. 4 Collaborating closely with the teaching staff and other professionals, such as Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists, to implement specialised interventions and strategies. 5 Promoting social interaction and communication skills among students with ASD, facilitating their integration into the school community. 6 Monitoring student progress and providing regular feedback to the teaching team, contributing to the development of individualised education plans.
