IT Infrastructure Technician Location: Wakefield Salary: c A GBP 25,000 : A GBP 30,000 per annum (Depending on experience) Our client is at the forefront of shaping the future of building control, fostering forward thinking, empowering architectural ambition, and ensuring the delivery of safer buildings. Serving diverse industries such as commercial, education, industrial, retail, leisure, and residential, they are they are now seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Technician to join their growing team. The Role The purpose of this role is to ensure the IT environment and the wider Associate family is fit for purpose and continually aligns with the growth of the Group. Your will be the main point of contact for all IT related queries and challenges, providing an IT support service to a wide range of bespoke applications, where the IT Partners support services are unable to assist. Your duties and responsibilities will be varied and in line with a typical IT Support role as follows: * To contribute to the definition of IT policies and procedures* Defining and implementing IT standards and monitoring compliance* Ensure the IT environment is available 24/7 365 days a year, for all software applications, websites, hardware infrastructure and telecoms, ensuring stability and security at all times.* Identifying and addressing key IT risks* Ensure that internal procedures are in place to maintain the PCI:DSS compliance of the company and ensure that security is at the forefront of all decision making.* Assist in the compilation and maintenance of an accurate inventory of hardware and software* Provide suggestions to senior management on the use of technology to automate and improve business process flow and achieve productivity gain.* Control and record costs against the IT and telecoms CAPEX and OPEX budgets* Regular reporting to Senior Management on all aspects of the Technology environment. Skills and Qualifications * A disciplined approach to problem solving.* The ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with strong communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of an organisation* Broad technical experience covering Windows infrastructure, firewalls, switches, physical/virtual servers, VoIP telephony and hosted bespoke applications with the ability to hold service providers accountable.
