Our customer is one of the biggest names within the HGV industry, with the latest vehicles on the market, which means you get the best HGV experience and a top range vehicle to work with. ***12 Months Of HGV Class 1 Driving Experience Required*** Location: Telford TF7 4QP Working Hours: * 5 On 3 Off Shifts Available : Various Start Times* 4 On 4 Off Shifts Available : Various Start Times. Pay Rate: * Monday : Sunday Days: A GBP 16.85 P/hr* Monday : Sunday Nights: A GBP 16.85 P/hr Overtime Day Rate: * Overtime Day Rate Mon : Fri A GBP 188.49 P/shift* Overtime Day Rate Sat A GBP 226.60 P/shift* Overtime Day Rate Sun A GBP 257.50 P/shift Start time incentives: * Start times between 07:00 : 13:59 and 21:00 : 23:59 Shift premium of A GBP 10 per shift* Start times between 14:00 : 20:59 Shift premium of A GBP 15 per shift About this role: * Refrigerated work : You will be transporting goods that need to be kept in a chilled trailer, at a specific temperature. Full training will be provided when operating a chilled vehicle.* Trunking : You will be driving on a regular route, including long haul transportation of goods between distribution hubs.* Store Delivery :Transporting various type of goods from location to stores.* General haulage : Transporting various types of goods from location to location.* Manual handling : This involves physically lifting, carrying, and moving goods as needed during loading and unloading operations.* Conduct pre:trip and post:trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs to ensure roadworthiness* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, logbooks, and other necessary paperwork in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.* Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to health and safety regulations. About You: * You should hold a valid HGV 1/C+E Licence and have a minimum of 12 months HGV Class 1 driving experience.* No more than 6 points no DD/ DR Code convictions* Hold a current valid DCPC and Tacho cards* Understand and able to comply with Drivers hours and WTD legislation* Able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly* Should comply with on:site health and safety requirements* Excellent communication skills About Logistics People The Logistics People are the inhouse recruiter for the Culina Group LTD recruiting for both FTE and Ad Hoc driving roles.
