An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Social Worker to work in an exceptional private mental health hospital in the Manchester area. You will be working for one of UKs leading health care providers This is a leading provider of specialist treatment in mental health. The hospital has residential facilities for patients as well as day care and outpatient services **To be considered for this position you must possess a social work degree and hold HCPC registration and have a sound knowledge** As a Social Worker your key responsibilities include: * Conducting comprehensive and objective evaluations of the clients current status, environment and functional abilities, including risk assessment of clients, staff and wider community * Managing an assigned caseload ascertaining the socio:economic circumstances of clients, ensuring that relevant people are made aware of the situation * Maintain associated records * Assisting with Safeguarding issues and taking appropriate action with those statutory services. * Assisting and supporting colleagues and relatives in understanding and interpreting changes in legislation and statutory provision. * Collaborating and acting as main contact between relatives, agencies, and other official organisations, coordinating negotiations and communications regarding admissions, discharges and long term needs. * Providing training to staff on adult and child safeguarding (appropriate training provided by company for this element of the role) The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role: * Experience working as a qualified practitioner including experience relevant within a mental health setting * Dedicated to patient centred care * Experience within similar environment * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Strong assessment and care planning abilities * Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative MDT The successful Social Worker will receive an excellent salary of GBP32,500 : GBP36,013 per annum DOE. This exciting position is a permanent full time role working 37.5 hours a week.
