This role, starting in September 2024, involves supporting a Year 6 pupil with ADHD and emotional needs. Teaching Assistant : Key Information: * Location: Primary School near Bruce Grove, North London, Tottenham * Start Date: September 2024 * Year Group: Year 6 * Special Needs: ADHD and emotional needs Teaching Assistant : Responsibilities: * Provide one:on:one support to a Year 6 pupil with ADHD and emotional needs. * Implement strategies to manage and support the pupils behaviour and emotional development. * Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to create a structured and supportive learning environment. * Assist the pupil with daily classroom activities, ensuring they remain focused and engaged. * Maintain a balanced approach, offering patience and support while setting clear boundaries to manage the pupils mischievous behaviour. Teaching Assistant : Requirements: * Previous experience working with children with ADHD and emotional needs is highly desirable. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting students with special needs. * Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently. * A balanced approach to managing behaviour, providing support without being too lenient.
