Position Description: The role of the PDM is to support our strategic accounts across all species in disease and therapeutic areas aligned to the Elanco species business strategy. The role will manage the successful implementation of support activities and initiatives in order to maximize current and future potential of Elanco products and services across all channels and prescribing routes. This will involve: * Internally close liaison with the Technical Consultants, Sales and Marketing teams to ensure activities are aligned with the business strategy. * Externally to build a relationship with strategic account contacts The PDM is seen as a key part of the species team and is expected to contribute to the species leadership team to determine the appropriate current and future strategy for both existing and new products. Functions, Duties, Tasks: * Provide technical & sales training, coaching and support to the sales teams at customer meetings and through regular dual calling. * Develop strong relationships with key customers, in conjunction with the SAMs, TCs and Marketing. * Leverage these to demonstrate value and develop mutually beneficial opportunities. * Responsible for development and implementation of SQP training, AMTRA or VetPol, with key customers in Pet Health (PH) and Ruminant * Develop and manage digital resources for SQP training. * Support ‘Other than Vet’ (OTV) customers with the education and resources needed to uphold the highest standards of product prescription and use. * Work with SAM (all species) to demonstrate the £ value of Elanco partnership to SAM accounts. * Work with veterinary Technical Consultants s to bridge gap amongst prescribers and monitoring performance KPIs * Elanco product sales performance for assigned strategic accounts. * AMTRA pass rate for assigned strategic accounts. * Develop support plan for accounts and track progress against defined criteria. Minimum Qualification (education, experience and/or training, required certifications): * High technical ability and learning agility. * 3 years minimum experience in the agricultural industry * Empathy and passion for the animal health business * Excellent English—both written and verbal · Certified in various management programs (e.g. INSIGHTS trainer qualified etc.) Additional Preferences: * Demonstrated strong commercial business acumen and results driven/playing to win mindset. * Demonstrated success in persuasion, influence and negotiation skills. * Demonstrated ability to impart technical/scientific knowledge at appropriate levels. * Excellent presentation skills – both face-to-face and virtual * Ability to converse effectively at all levels of a customer organization from boots to board. * Excellent communication skills: verbal, written and interpersonal. * Organizational skills => strong balance of decision, attention and energy * Strong sense of personal accountability and holding others accountable openly * Ability to develop and continually grow long-term business relationships. * Flexible to learning new products and diseases over time. * Innovative and curious mindset, happy to consistently question and challenge status quo. Other Information: Travel: Field-based travel (predominantly GB) with some overnight stays based on customer and team requirements. The use of digital and virtual technology can be used effectively in this role. Location: Southern GB; Birmingham or South of this. Whilst this is role is part of a national team, there will be specific designated customer ownership per PDM and so home locality to these customers is preferable.
