The Company The client, an independent Transport Consultancy who have been established since 2007, is on the lookout for a Trainee CAD designer to join the team based in Newcastle The client works on projects across all sectors including complex residential, leisure, education, minerals, employment, logistics. The Position is for a Trainee CAD designer, and would be most suited for a HNC/D Graduate. What is on offer for the Trainee CAD Designer? * Salary Competitive, to be commensurate to the applicant * Qualifications funding and support. * Recruitment referral scheme * Flexible benefits programme * Buy additional holidays * Regular training and career development * Competitive annual leave allowance * Contributory Pension Scheme The Position of a CAD Designer : Full Training Provided * Preparation of technical drawings utilising AutoCAD. * Preliminary design of access and basic junction design (priority, roundabouts, signalisation). * Swept Path Analysis using AutoTrack. * Preparation of high:quality graphics using GIS packages and/ or Corel Draw. * Excellent communication skills; and * Good levels of numeracy and literacy. Essential Criteria for the candidate as a CAD Designer * Position is suited for a HNC/D Graduate * Excellent report writing, analytical and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and within the supporting team. * Solution:focused * UK driving licence.
