Role Purpose: Senior Scientist accountable for the development and scale up of new downstream processes for biologics manufacture Key Accountabilities and Experience: • Accountable for the design, execution and delivery of multiple projects • Demonstrated experience of purification experimental work including chromatography, ultrafiltration and diafiltration, high throughput screening (minimum 5 years industry or relevant experience) • Demonstrated success in continuous improvement projects • Escalate technical and Customer issues in a timely fashion • Critically review and interpret raw data & information to produce good quality process knowledge • Write reports to a publication standard • Represent department as part of multi-disciplinary Customer project team and represent Lonza externally • Specialist knowledge in protein purification • Provide scientific input into Customer proposals and support sales • Coach, mentor and train more junior members of department as required • Initiate problem solving / trouble shooting activities • Requirement to join the out of hours call out Rota to respond to alarms on cold storage units • Able to operate to GMP/ GDP Every day, Lonza’s products and services have a positive impact on millions of people.
