Environmental SpecialistWigan£40,000Monday to Friday either 8am – 4pm or 9am – 5pm My Client who are a leading manufacturer within their field, is seeking an experienced Environmental Specialist to join their team due to continued growth and expansion.The main purpose of this role is to promote a positive climate towards environmental standards and ensure that policies, programmes, systems, procedures, and registrations are developed and maintained. Environmental Specialist Requirements:A degree in environmental management/ chemical engineeringExperience in the oil, gas, chemicals/ petrochemicals industryWorking knowledge of environmental legislationAuditing experience Knowledge of ISO 14001Knowledge of ISO 50001 Desirable Environmental Specialist Duties:Identify new business opportunities to improve the environmental management systemProvide guidance and support on environmental legislation and internal environmental standardsManage waste minimisationResponsible for ISO 14001 audits and recertification audits Lead Auditor for ISO45001 and ISO9001Responsible for developing the environmental strategy and performance Champion environmental improvements via the Asset plan and Capex programsManage the site environmental permit and prepare any correspondence to the regulator or applications for variations that may be requiredFirm knowledge of abatement systems and techniques Undertake environmental risk assessment as per CDOIF methodologyInternal improvements on 12 principles of green chemistry Ecovardis review and assessment Policy improvements for Corporate Social Responsibility Manage site Aspects and Impacts Register Key SkillsEnvironmental Manager, Environmental Specialist, Environmental Coordinator, QHSE, HSE Please contact XXXX@winsearch.uk for more information.Winsearch acts as an employment agency for permanent staff.
