Fire Safety Advisor Glasgow GBP 47,441 : GBP 49,938 per year : plus Company car or car allowance 35 hours per week : Monday to Friday 9:00am : 5:00pm We have an opportunity for a Fire Safety Advisor to join our Fire team, based in Glasgow. The main purpose of this role is to provide guidance, advice and support to the Group on fire safety matters to ensure statutory, regulatory and contractual compliance to minimise risk and maximise safety and ensure that best practice is employed across the Group. The role of Fire Safety Advisor will include: :Conducting fire safety audits to identify and implement improvements to ensure compliance and knowledge of fire safety legislation:Coach colleagues across the Group to adopt best practice and contribute to the development of written internal technical guidance notes and training materials:Support all Group business areas in complying with fire safety legislation, fire policy, procedures and guidance by the provision of proactive advice and responding to requests for advice and support:Maintain fire safety competence by keeping abreast of changes in legislation, best practice in the fire industry and new / emerging technologies and fire risks Skills and experiences: :To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to Level 4/5 diploma or equivalent Fire qualification or currently undertaking the qualification. If you have a lower level qualification along with practical experience and would be prepared to undertake this qualification with the support of Sanctuary Group, we would still welcome an application. :Good communication, analytical abilities, and project management skills: Strong leadership and problem solving skills:Knowledge of Fire Safety equipment and systems:Experience in crisis management, regulatory knowledge and training development is beneficial:This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications.
