Tenancy Management & Resettlement Officer Tenancy Management & Resettlement Officer 12 Months Fixed Term Potential for Extension Upon Review Lewisham, London Full Time, 35 hours Per Week Monday – Friday, 0900-1700 Start Date: 01/07 Hybrid Working Available 2 days in office, 3 WFHWe are seeking a dynamic Tenancy Management & Resettlement Officer to join a local authority’s Temporary Accommodation RedTenancy Management & Resettlement Officer Tenancy Management & Resettlement Officer 12 Months Fixed Term Potential for Extension Upon Review Lewisham, London Full Time, 35 hours Per Week Monday – Friday, 0900-1700 Start Date: 01/07 Hybrid Working Available 2 days in office, 3 WFHWe are seeking a dynamic Tenancy Management & Resettlement Officer to join a local authority’s Temporary Accommodation Reduction Project, within the Housing Partnership and Service Improvement Team. You will play a key role in delivering change projects and implementing new ways of working.Key Responsibilities: Assess applicants to end or discharge the main housing duty, ensuring compliance with the Homelessness Reduction Act, Part VII Housing Act, and other relevant legislation.Conduct affordability and suitability assessments for applicants.Support residents in temporary accommodation to resettle into alternative housing.Make comprehensive assessments and legal decisions that withstand legal scrutiny.Complete s.188 and s.193 discharge of duties.Assist the Temporary Accommodation Reduction Project Manager with project-related activities, data collation, and report generation. Skills and Experience: Extensive knowledge of homelessness legislation and case law.Experience in assessing housing applicants and managing tenancy resettlements.Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.Strong decision-making skills within tight timescales.Experience in the private rented sector and understanding of welfare reforms.Ability to work effectively with landlords, letting agents, and other accommodation providers.
