Do you want to make a real difference in the lives of children with special needsWe are looking for a passionate and dedicated SEND Key Worker to join Staffordshire County Council as a SEND Key Worker.Do you want to make a real difference in the lives of children with special needsWe are looking for a passionate and dedicated SEND Key Worker to join Staffordshire County Council as a SEND Key Worker.Location: Biddulph Town Hall, StaffordshirePay: £17.94 per hourContract: 3 months plus ongoingAbout the Role:In this rewarding role, you'll be a key point of contact for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities SEND and their families. You'll work closely with them to understand their needs and develop a personalized support plan to help them reach their full potential.What you'll do: Build trusting relationships with children, young people, and their families.Assess individual needs and identify areas where support is needed.Work collaboratively with families, teachers, and other professionals to develop a comprehensive support plan.Connect families with relevant resources and services, such as therapists, benefits, or financial assistance.Monitor progress and make adjustments to the support plan as needed.Ensure the well-being and safety of the children and young people you work with. Who you are: You have a passion for supporting children with special needs and a desire to make a positive impact on their lives.You have experience working with children and young people in a caring and supportive environment.You're a strong communicator and can build rapport with children, young people, and families from diverse backgrounds.You're a team player who can work effectively with colleagues from different disciplines.You have a good understanding of SEND legislation and safeguarding procedures.You're IT literate and comfortable using technology for record-keeping and communication.
