Senior Staff Nurse (Neurobehavioral) : York Location: YorkSalary: Up to A GBP 50,395Hours: Full:time, Permanent (38.5 hours per week) Are you a motivated and experienced Senior Staff Nurse with a passion for neurobehavioral care and strong leadership skills? We are searching for a talented Senior Staff Nurse to join their compassionate and skilled team in a state:of:the:art facility. About the Role:As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will play a crucial role within a multidisciplinary team, working closely with the Ward Manager to lead and inspire your nursing team. You will be pivotal in delivering integrated, high:quality care and ensuring the best outcomes for patients. Key Responsibilities: * Provide daily clinical leadership, ensuring exceptional care standards and acting as a positive role model.* Manage patient assessments, admissions, and discharge planning in collaboration with the care team.* Establish effective communication and continuity of care across interdisciplinary teams.* Foster a culture of continuous learning and reflective practice within the ward.* Implement risk management strategies to ensure patient and staff safety.* Oversee staff recruitment and retention, nurturing a supportive team environment. Requirements: * Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.* Leadership: Proven experience in managing and developing teams.* Clinical Expertise: Deep understanding of Clinical Governance and the Mental Health Capacity Act.* Training: Ability and willingness to provide training to student nurses and the wider team. Qualifications: * NMC Registered Nurse: Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.* Experience: Minimum of two years working in a Neurobehavioral setting.* Education: Completion of NMC Standards for Student Supervision and/or Assessment (or willingness to complete this training).* Professional Development: Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional growth.
