Ensure work carried out is of the highest quality and achieves value for money.Structural Engineer 3 months contract Bristol About the roleProvide professional surveying services and project management, particularly those involving structural, dimensional and topographical surveys and design solutions, to the City Council's stock of dwellings, buildings and land managed by Landlord Services. Ensure work carried out is of the highest quality and achieves value for money.Plan, monitor and control all aspects of the programme, seeking best practice, ideas and innovation and ensuring they are applied to the project. Achieve the project's objectives within the defined schedules, costs and performance parameters.Take ownership, be responsible and accountable for all aspects of the project, programme or service from end-to-end and, in particular, to champion the experience of the customer in order to maximise customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Carry out structural surveys and provide detailed reports, assessments and design solutions, as required.Provide detailed design advice to project/programme managers/supervisors for major construction projects and programmes.Achieve programme objectives through the application of appropriate project methodology, by; Defining scope of projects and programmesSetting up appropriate project structuresIdentifying and securing resource requirementsAchieving project team commitmentEnsuring quality control and reporting progressPreparing and delivering to programme plansValidating all required authorisationsPreparing and completing post-implementation reviewRegular communication of progress between all stakeholdersContinued effective consultation and, if appropriate, re-adjustment of priorities and objectives.Ensuring value for money. Be responsible for providing the following services:- Site inspections, structural surveys and reports on work in progressDrawings, specifications and schedules of ratesSurveys and technical reportsMaking Building Regulation, planning and other applicationsCertifying paymentsUpdating job recordsAdvice on forms of building contracts and consultants agreementsAssist in the preparation of reports to Boards or CommitteesLeaseholder NoticesAct as a professional witness in court cases If interested in the role, please contact me at XXXX@servicecare.org.uk
