Job Title: Radio PresenterReporting to: DirectorWorking Hours: Full time 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday (Flexibility required to work weekends, bank holidays and additional hours) Salary: Competitive based on knowledge, skills & experience Company: Radio IslamLocation: Head Office – IG2 7BSRole Summary: TheRadio Presenter is responsible for hosting and producing radio programs, ensuring engaging content delivery and maintain a strong connection with the audience The Role: To introduce and presents radio programmes, reads news bulletins and makes announcements; To conducts interviews and prepares reports for news broadcasts, current affairs programmes and documentaries; To adhere to broadcasting regulations and stations policies, including timekeeping and content standards – such as OFCOM regulations To be able to write scripts for shows,including advertisements and promotional announcements A strong ability to maintain a captivating on-air prescence, using a clear and expressive voice to engage listeners To be able to prepare, plan and create engaging and relevant content which aligns with the stations format and target demographic. To carry out interviews with guests and interact with listeners through calls, texts or social media Work closely with producers and engineers and other team members to coordinate show elements and production Skills: To have excellent communication skills To have a deep understanding of the target audience To have a passion for presenting content on Radio Station Strong public speaking and presentation abilities Knowledge of Broadcasting laws and regulations, such as OFCOM To be technically profient in operating studio equipment Previous experience in radio presenting or broadcasting To be well organised and able to adapt to tough situations To work well under pressure Excellent Time management Skills Charismatic and engaging on air presence Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject is required for this role OFCOM Trained Radio Presenter is essential for this role Experience: This role is based on experience and will expect you to have proven significant radio presenting work experience Previous work experience presenting on an Islamic Radio Station would be highly advantageous
