GPW Recruitment are seeking an experienced Buyer, with a strong background in the Construction sector, on a permanent basis.This is a very exciting opportunity, to join a well established family business with over 30 years prescence in the industry.Working as an essential part of a friendly, experienced team, you will work closely with contract manager and suppliers undertaking general purchasing duties within the construction industry.GPW Recruitment are seeking an experienced Buyer, with a strong background in the Construction sector, on a permanent basis.This is a very exciting opportunity, to join a well established family business with over 30 years prescence in the industry.Working as an essential part of a friendly, experienced team, you will work closely with contract manager and suppliers undertaking general purchasing duties within the construction industry. Duties will include:· Daily ordering of raw materials from external suppliers· Ordering and reviewing of plant hire tools and equipment to ensure minimum hire costs whilst maintaining reports.· Updating delivery dates / chasing late orders & expediting raw materials where required· Monitoring stock levels & liaising with supervisor to replenish stocks· Working closely with Contracts Managers, Goods In & Production to ensure business requirements are met including stock availability issues· Liaising with Goods In / Purchase Ledger / Suppliers where delivery / invoice discrepancies arise· Reviewing purchasing agreements with suppliers and maintaining price updates.· Sourcing new raw materials suppliers and services.· Requesting samples & technical information from potential new suppliers for future projects.· Negotiating with new & existing suppliers Our client are specifically seeking somebody with experience in the construction sector.
