Room Leader Nurse Seekers are proud to be working for a quality nursery, based setting near Anerley, London. They are looking for a Room Leader for their Preschool or Baby Room. With a competitive rate of pay and working within a friendly team with a management structure that allows room for progression : this is a fantastic opportunity for an already established Room Leader or an experienced Nursery Practitioner looking to take the next step Key Responsibilities * Be responsible for the running of a room/age group within the nursery* Understand and adhere to the settings safeguarding policies and procedures to keep children safe and secure at all times, and ensure others at the setting are adhering to the policy.* Deal with child protection issues, reporting any concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Lead/Deputy for the setting and record factual information accurately.* Report any safeguarding concerns about any adult working in the setting to the manager following the settings policy and procedures regarding whistle blowing.* Adhere to the requirements of the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage and Ofsted.* Adhere to the settings code of conduct.* Plan weekly for the room/age group (with support from your staff) and complete evaluation of activities where necessary* Plan weekly for the room/age group (with support from your staff) and complete evaluation of activities where necessary* Update parents on their childs day and development with invaluable professional feedback* Interact, supervise and keep the children safe and happy as well as supporting the nursery team in the day:to:day running of the nursery The successful candidate can look forward to a competitive salary with additional benefits such as in:house training with career progression opportunities.
