Are you the Verification and Validation Manager were looking for Location : Crewe, UK (Hybrid Working) Contract : Initial 6:month contract (possibility of extension) : Outside IR35. * Are you a proven Automotive Engineer, with experience of whole vehicle verification and validation?* Do you hold an in:depth understanding of systems engineering?* Do you have strong leadership skills with the ability to work across functional groups to meet project milestones?* Could you use your communication skills to influence up to Board level? Join an experienced Whole Vehicle Validation and Quality Team as a Verification and Validation Manager working to protect both customer and brand by ensuring engineering design meets whole vehicle product requirements prior to customer product release Reporting to the Functional Manager, the Verification and Validation Manager will be responsible for the verification and validation planning (VVP) from Level 1:n, utilising systems engineering processes as well as durability, reliability and functional testing of vehicles. Key responsibilities of the Verification and Validation Manager: * Development of Verification and Validation Plan (VVP) for new Projects utilising Systems engineering processes.* Accountable for managing and developing the VVP from Level 1:n, working cross:functionally and challenging validation techniques (Virtual, Rig and physical).* Accountable for aligning VVP with; Platform, R and D and Quality teams.* Accountable for project deliverables, achieving project milestones against key performance indicators including managing vehicle preparation and updates prior, during and post events, leading concern resolution, manage outsourced work including suppliers, manage budgetary requirements.* Develop and maintain specialist technical knowledge; ensure process improvement activity, lead technical direction with other functions/engineers, provide technical direction to other feature owners, provide technical input for future developments.* Developing and influencing strategic validation direction; validation against attribute targets, advise on strategic opportunities, develop the strategic technical direction / technical roadmaps within the area. As the successful Verification and Validation Manager you will demonstrate: * Experience in leading Systems Engineering validation plans.* A broad and established technical understanding of the whole vehicle and be a skilled vehicle attribute evaluator (durability/reliability/Test).* Experience of process from launch to production.* Significant knowledge and understanding of Whole Vehicle deliverables in line with Engineering PVRs and KPIs.* Hold knowledge of Test and measurement requirements in line with procedures, Engineering drawings, Software tools, Concerns management systems.* Project management skills, ability to lead cross functionally to achieve project milestones.* Understanding and application of all required sign off legislative and environmental requirements.* Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent.* Preferably Chartered Engineer, or with a desire to achieve/currently working towards Chartered status.* Proficiency in German language would be an advantage. Working hours: Benefit from 37 hours per week : Based on:site in Crewe with Flexible Hybrid working (60 onsite, approx. 3:4 times per week).
