Integra Education are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Science Technician to join a well-established Science department at a Wirral based school from September 2024. As a key member of the department, you will provide technical support to teachers and students, ensuring the smooth operation of science facilities and equipment.Key Responsibilities: Maintain and troubleshoot scientific equipment and apparatus, including physics, chemistry, and biology equipmentPrepare materials and resources for lessons, including setting up experiments and demonstrationsAssist teachers with lesson preparation, providing expertise on scientific processes and methodsManage the storage, maintenance, and inventory of science equipment and materialsParticipate in health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for staff and studentsCollaborate with the Science department to develop and deliver innovative teaching methods and activities Requirements: Level 3 qualification in a science-related field e.g. BTEC, NVQExperience working in a school or educational setting as a Science Technician or equivalent is preferred but not essentialStrong technical skills in scientific equipment maintenance and operationExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines What We Offer: A supportive and collaborative working environment with a dedicated Science departmentOpportunities for professional development and training in science technology and educationCompetitive salary package dependent on experience and qualificationsA dynamic and forward-thinking school with a strong commitment to student achievement How to Apply:If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for science education, we would love to hear from you.
