SEND Teacher (KS3 Moderate Learning Difficulties) Location: Wallington, SM6 7NH Salary: Teacher Main Scale (Outer London Area) A GBP 34, 514 : A GBP 46,001 per annum + SEN Allowance A GBP 2,539 (Salary determined on appointment plus an SEN allowance) (Depending on qualifications and experience) Hours: Full time, 25 hours per week, 52 weeks per year The Academy is an outstanding special school situated at the edge of Beddington Park in Wallington. It has 230 students aged 7:18 with a wide range of ability levels and additional learning needs, including complex needs. There are plans for the school to move to a purpose:built Free School in 2024. The Academy strives to develop the full potential of everyone within its school community and provides a broad and wide:ranging curriculum. Enriching experiences are offered such as residential and curriculum visits and students can access a full range of therapies on site. The Role General Responsibilities: * The education and welfare of designated classes or groups of pupils in accordance with the requirements of Conditions of Employment of School Teachers, having due regard to the Academys aims, objectives and schemes of work, and policies.* To share in the corporate responsibility for the wellbeing and pastoral care of all pupils.* To carry out any reasonable instructions given by the Principal or Senior Leadership Team.
