Procurement Manager, Winsford, Cheshire, £55,000 - £60,000We are searching for a skilled procurement manager for our client who will work independently and assume full responsibility for all the company's purchasing, lease negotiations, and processes. The Job:We seek a highly skilled and motivated Procurement Manager with Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) qualifications to join our dynamic team. This role involves overseeing the procurement of goods and services and focusing on managing property leases. The successful candidate will ensure efficient procurement processes, maintain supplier relationships, and manage the property lease portfolio to support our operational needs.The Responsibilities: Procurement Management: Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve cost savings and efficiencies. Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including tendering, negotiation, contract award, and supplier management. Ensure compliance with company policies and UK procurement regulations. Analyse market trends to identify potential suppliers and alternative solutions. Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and contracts. Property Lease Management (30%): Oversee the acquisition, renewal, and termination of property leases. Negotiate lease terms and conditions to secure favourable agreements. Coordinate with legal and finance teams to ensure compliance with lease terms and financial obligations. Maintain a database of lease agreements and manage lease-related documentation. Conduct periodic reviews of leased properties to ensure they meet operational requirements. Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers. Conduct supplier performance evaluations and manage supplier risk. Resolve any disputes or issues with suppliers promptly and effectively. Budget and Cost Management: Monitor procurement budgets and ensure adherence to financial targets. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and value improvement. Prepare regular reports on procurement activities and savings achieved. Qualifications and Experience: CIPS qualification (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply, ideally level 6). Proven experience in a procurement management role. Strong knowledge of UK procurement regulations and best practices. Experience in managing property leases and negotiations. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite. Desirable: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Experience in the Engineering, construction, hire industry. Familiarity with contract law and financial principles related to leases. Personal Attributes: Highly organised with a keen eye for detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members. Strategic thinker with the ability to implement long-term procurement plans. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders. You must have the right to work in the UK to be considered for this role and a current UK driving licence
