We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Lewisham to assist with the appointment of a Schools Accountant/School Business Manager , on a 3- month contract , likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay: £176.68 - £227.69 per Day Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be expected to support a range of schools based on the individual support the school has purchased Transactional support payments, month end reconciliation, VAT submittal Strategic support analysis of budgets and spend, including reporting to Governing Body and or headteachers Supporting the school to develop Deficit recovery plans Implementing of new finance systems -training Qualifications: Sound knowledge of Schools Funding Expertise in at least one of the following systems ACCESS, RM, Sims/FMS Strong IT skills so ability to collate data into information Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
