SEND Casework OfficerTHIS ROLE IS NOT REMOTEWarrington Borough Council are seeking a diligent and meticulous SEND Casework Officer to support professionals to review, monitor and assess the education, health and care needs of children and young people with SEND. The successful candidate will work closely with key stakeholders families, young people, schools and professionals and report directly to one of the SEND team managers. The successful candidate will work closely with key stakeholders families, young people, schools and professionals and report directly to one of the SEND team managers.Job Responsibilities Lead on annual reviews of EHC Plans and deal with any issues that arise related to the provision or support needed for the child/young personIdentify additional resources, funding or support including from other services within and outside of the local authority and provision/placement changesOversee any activities that are required to assess needs and develop a plan to meet any outcomes specified as part of the EHC PlanEnsure that the EHC Plan is focused on the future needs of the child/young person to help them towards a successful adulthoodWork in partnership with the child/young person and their parents/carers to help them to plan towards adult life and promote independence, choice and control over all aspects of their lifeCo-ordinate and attend meetings, such as introductory visits to families, mediation meetings and person centred planning meetingsProvide information and support around the Local Offer and stay up to date with this Job Requirements Current knowledge and understanding of legislation and statutory duties in relation to education, and specifically special educational needs and disabilities SENDExperience of working with senior staff in schools and partner agenciesExcellent interpersonal skills both written and verbal with the ability to clearly communicate at different levels.Ability to work effectively in often stressful circumstances and respond effectively to both predictable and unpredictable deadlines.Flexible approach to work, some work outside of normal office hours may be requiredEnhanced DBS How to ApplyIf you are interested, please call Chris Richardson on 01772 XXXXXX or email me your CV – XXXX@servicecare.org.ukIf this role isn’t right for you, but you know someone who would fit perfectly to our engaged and devoted team and you refer them, you will receive a referral bonus of £250.The benefits of working with SCS: A specialist dedicated Social Work consultant offering single point of contact.Exceptional referral bonuses - £250 per referral placed in to workAn extensive & exclusive range of Social Work vacancies across the UKNationwide provider Social Work staff to over 200 local authorities.Payroll service twice a week.Ltd and PAYE payment options available.Annual training budget of up to £250 and continued online CPD training.Excellent Annual Loyalty schemes / bonuses.DBS disclosures provided via fast-track online services free of charge.
