2nd Line Support Engineer - Application Support Aerial Direct are looking for a 2 nd Line Support Engineer to join our busy IT Support team . Reporting into our Information Security & Networks Director, you will work to resolve applications support issues for our inhouse users, providing technical assistance and support for applications such as Dynamics 365, ConnexOne, CRM etc . Based in our newly refurbished Fareham offices, t he role requires strong communication skills, technical proficiency, and a dedication to delivering excellent customer service. Company pension scheme You’ll Get Involved In: Application Support: Provide support for business applications, with a primary focus on, but not limited to, Dynamics 365, ConnexOne etc. Address and resolve incidents, service requests, perform basic system changes, and resolve problems related to these applications. Understand upcoming changes to the applications and inform the relevant stakeholders. Work with the business analyst to review and support the implementation of new features. Responsible for the change control process and management of system patches, changes and upgrades in line with company policy. Security Management: Work with the Information Security Manager to implement and monitor security measures and systems to safeguard IT systems and data. Participate in security incident response and assist in implementing security best practices. Advanced Technical Support: Provide 2nd line technical support to end-users, resolving escalated hardware, software, and network issues. Troubleshoot and diagnose complex technical problems, ensuring timely resolution. Incident Management: Take ownership of escalated incidents, managing them through to resolution and ensuring stakeholders and end-users are kept informed. Collaborate with 1st and 2nd line support to provide guidance and expertise in resolving issues. Working with the Information Security Manager on incident investigations. System Administration: Administer and maintain applications and servers, ensuring their optimal performance and security. Implement and manage Azure, Active Directory, Group Policies, and other core IT infrastructure components. Network Support: Diagnose and resolve simple network issues, including connectivity problems and performance issues. Collaborate with senior engineers to implement and maintain network infrastructure. Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures. Contribute to the development and improvement of IT documentation. Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members, including 1st line support, 3rd line support, and network engineers. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior IT staff. Manage your own and contribute to larger company projects as required. Enforce a security first culture by leading by example. Ideally, you’ll have experience of: Proven experience in a 2nd line technical support role or similar position. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Dynamics 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, and enterprise IT infrastructure. Experience with network troubleshooting and administration. Familiarity with security principles and best practices. It would be great if you have: Change management experience Who are we?
