One Month Paid Part-Time Internship with Travel, Lifestyle & B2B PR Agency in West London from Monday 1 July 2024 Do you have a passion for travel, lifestyle brands and business-related news? Are you looking for first-hand experience of working in PR? We have an exciting internship vacancy available for an enthusiastic graduate to join our team at GEC PR in July 2024. We’re GEC PR, a well-respected travel, lifestyle and B2B PR agency. We work with progressive start-ups as well as established brands, hotels and destinations, and we’re looking for an intern for a placement with us who can work from our office in West London’s Chiswick. Like the rest of our team, our intern must have a passion for travel, meeting people and the finer things life has to offer. The role’s duties will include tasks such as: • Searching and saving client coverage published in media outlets • Updating contact databases • Assisting the team in collating PR reports • Compiling weekly and monthly market intelligence research and keeping an eye on trends and current affairs • Writing copy and content for newsletters and press releases • Distributing newsletters and press releases to media • Writing copy and creating visuals to share on social media • Talking to content creators and journalists to pitch news and client stories • Ad hoc office duties and tasks such as managing the office stationery supplies • Meeting and event attendance including virtual and physical events The role will provide the successful candidate with an excellent introduction to the world of travel, lifestyle and B2B PR and valuable experience for a future PR role. Requirements & Qualifications • Must be presentable and have superb oral and written communication skills • Must be competent with Microsoft Office programmes, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint • The candidate must have a willingness to learn and ability to work well in a team • Good command of written English and English grammar • Passionate about social media as a powerful form of communication • Must be comfortable speaking on the telephone • A passion for travel and learning about other cultures • Presentation or public speaking experience would be beneficial though not essential • Should have excellent time management skills and the ability to handle duties and responsibilities efficiently • No previous PR or marketing experience is required, but prior knowledge of PR or marketing would be beneficial Additional Information • Available to start w/c 1 July 2024. • Face to face interviews will take place between 24 – 26 June 2024 • Working hours: 9:30am-5.00pm, three days per week • Duration: 5 weeks from Monday 1 July – Thursday 1 August 2024 • Remuneration: £11.44 per hour (national minimum wage compliant) • Location will be at GEC PR offices in Chiswick, West London If you are interested in this role, please send us your CV plus a compelling cover letter explaining why you are the ideal candidate for the internship.
