Assistant Geo:Environmental Engineer Location: Bristol Reference: BY1374 Salary: GBP24,000 : GBP27,000 A new opportunity for a recent graduate or junior geo:environmental engineer interested in expanding skills and experience in contaminated land and waste management has presented itself. This is an exciting opportunity for a geo:environmental engineer to join a highly established ground remediation team in Bristol. Youll become a specialist in soil remediation and waste management both on site and in treatment facilities and given the opportunity to work on a range of environmentally conscious and exciting projects. The Assistant Geo:Environmental Engineer selected will be: * Identifying and investigating the treatment and/or removal of contaminated land and groundwater. * Carrying out Phase 1 desktop studies. * Writing technical reports. * Carrying out risk assessments. * Contributing to soil and rock sampling. * Ground water and gas sampling. To be considered for the Assistant Geo:Environmental Engineer position you must have at least some experience in the geoenvironmental/geotechnical/waste assessment/remediation industry, with a good foundation of knowledge. A good understanding of Phase I and Phase II site investigations is preferred and candidates must have a relevant degree (BSc or MSc) in environmental science, physical geography, geology, earth sciences, geoscience or similar. A full right to work in the UK, a UK valid driving licence and living a commutable distance to Bristol is imperative.
