Key Responsibilities: * Lesson Planning and Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver learning activities for individuals, small groups, or whole classes under the guidance of a teacher. * Student Support: Assist pupils in understanding instructions, completing tasks, and achieving learning goals. * Classroom Management: Support the management of pupil behaviour, promoting positive behaviour strategies. Supervise classes during short:term teacher absences. * Assessment and Reporting: Assist in assessing pupils progress through observations, feedback, and marking work, maintain accurate records of pupil progress and report to teachers. * Staff Collaboration: Work closely with teachers to deliver effective lessons and interventions. * Safeguarding and Well:being: Ensure the safety and well:being of pupils at all times, following school policies and procedures. Preferred Skills: * Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with pupils, teachers, parents, and other staff members. * Ability to remain calm and patient, especially when working with pupils who have special needs or exhibit challenging behaviour. * Skills in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment. * Strong organisational skills to manage classroom resources and keep accurate records. Requirements: * An Enhanced Child DBS or willingness to undertake one (we can help with this) * Good knowledge of the UK national curriculum. * Excellent planning and organisation skills.
