PROCUREMENT MANAGER: SUGAR and SWEETENERS Haddenham, UK Responsible for assigned categories and the development of global category strategies and programs to optimize cost, rationalize the supply base and bring value to the Corporation while mitigating risk. Includes coordinating and leading strategy execution activity supporting Direct and/or Indirect spend. In this position, the primary focus will be on the Sugar and Sweeteners categories as part of the Traded Commodities Portfolio. This Portfolio deals with a variety of commodity:based raw materials including grains, edible oils, and sugar. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES LI:DNI :Manages Procurement for their categories globally. :Leads the negotiations of procured materials and services to assure optimal TCO (Cost, Quality, Delivery, Innovation) achieved. :Develops and implements strategies to assure lowest overall cost while mitigating risk to the Corporation. :Develops and documents in:depth knowledge of markets, supply chain, and suppliers. :Assists with make vs. buy decisions. :Conducts formal presentations as well as coordinate and conduct supplier reviews.:Participates in the planning and forecasting process to establish standard costs and provide explanations for price variances at Division level.:Promotes high level of customer satisfaction in supporting the needs of Divisional projects and requirements for Purchasing guidance and leadership.:Leads cross functional teams to meet project objectives. CANDIDATE PROFILE :Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Accounting or applicable field of study.:Experience in Purchasing/Supply Chain environment with traded commodity markets/ hedging experience:Experience in project management, execution of or participation in large, multiple or cross:functional projects.:Experience in leading projects/process improvement initiatives.:Experience in managing, leading developing dynamic work teams.:Proven experience and results on major cost savings initiatives.:Thorough knowledge of industries for assigned categories.:Technical awareness in assigned categories.:Systems capabilities to maximize supplier performance and negotiating leverage.:Ability to assess and analyze moderately complex business issues. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS stylemargin:bottom:13.0px::MBA, or other equivalent Masters Degree.:CPM or APICS certification.
