The Role: As a Senior Bookkeeper, you will be offering day to day bookkeeping and VAT support to a variety of firm's clients. Responsibilities: Handle payments, invoices, income, and receipts, entering data into accounting software with meticulous documentation retention. Prepare monthly / quarterly financial statements to enable clients to make informed business decisions. Perform reconciliations for all control accounts to assist in the preparation of year-end financial statements. Produce and post opening balance adjustments after the completion and filing of year-end financial statements. Calculate Flat Rate, Partial Exemption, Global Accounting Scheme, and Group VAT returns. Collaborate with the team to ensure all client VAT returns are completed and filed on time. Requirements: Previous experience working as a Bookkeeper in a similar role. Possess relevant qualifications. Skilled in Microsoft Office and accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks and Free Agent. Strong customer service abilities. Excellent mathematical skills for precise record-keeping. Exceptional communication and organisation skills.
