The Building Safety Managers role is to ensure the safety of the building, primarily for the safety of all occupants of multi-occupied High-Rise Residential Buildings and designated building types including Low-Rise Residential Buildings.Building Safety Manager3 months contract Bristol About the roleThe Building Safety Managers role is to ensure the safety of the building, primarily for the safety of all occupants of multi-occupied High-Rise Residential Buildings and designated building types including Low-Rise Residential Buildings. Responsibilities To take responsibility for the co-ordination and management of all matters relating to structural and fire safety for in-scope buildings to meet legislative requirementsTo oversee the safe management of BCC high-rise and/or higher-risk residential buildings within Housing and Landlord Services’ building stockTo oversee the implementation of controls in respect of structural and fire safety on a day-to-day basisTo effectively manage safety within the designated housing stockTo ensure that controls are implemented in respect of building work carried out in the managed housing stockTo manage resident engagement within high-rise and/or higher-risk housing stock, particularly in ensuring that safety concerns are recorded, monitored and dealt with appropriatelyTo ensure that planned, preventive maintenance is carried out within BCC housing stockTo engage with relevant internal housing staff to ensure that roles are performed effectively in accordance with the Corporate Fire Safety Policy.To oversee the successful implementation of corrective actions arising from fire risk assessments and audits.To ensure that facilities for use by the fire and rescue service are effectively managed and maintained If interested in the role, please contact me at XXXX@servicecare.org.uk
