We are looking to welcome part-time Sales Assistants to join our amazing Markethall team. In Markethall we are looking for people who will either be specialised in our Cooking & Eating department or that will act as Co-workers in the whole Markethall. These Markethall co-workers will be responsible for maintaining the standards of the Markethall ensuring our customers always find the area clean, tidy, full and ready for them to shop. In the IKEA world, we call this position a Sales Co-Worker. Expected Starting Date: July 2024. WHAT WE OFFER • £12.00 basic hourly rate. • IKEA is a Living Wage Foundation Employer. • Flexibility on availability to be discussed during interviews. • We offer permanent contracts, advanced scheduling and regular weekends off. • We are Disability Confident Level 3 Certified CONTRACTS Various Part Time Markethall Coworkers - 12-20 hours working an evenings only contract 4/5 days out of 7, including weekends. Part Time Markethall Coworkers- 12 hours working weekends only this will include both Saturday and Sunday every weekend. Part Time Cooking & Eating Coworkers- 16 hours working 4 days out of 7, including evenings and 3 out of 4 weekends. We operate 7 days a week to meet the shopping needs of our customers. This role will require availability to work during the day, late evenings, and full weekends. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY • You provide an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. • You are always passionate about the range and home furnishings, curious to learn the stories behind the products and their design. • You support maximising sales by being proud of your areas of responsibility, ensuring the customer meets an area that is clean, well presented and easy to shop. • You are competent with IT, Microsoft office, using the internet and relevant programmes to support selling to the customer. • You will have a combination of administrative work, meeting the customer and preparing for next days delivery. • This is a physically demanding role which involves manual handling and walking throughout the store.
