SERVICE CHARGE ACCOUNTANTENFIELD£40,000 to £48,000 + BENEFITSTHE COMPANY:We’re proud to be recruiting on behalf of a successful property management company that is lSERVICE CHARGE ACCOUNTANTENFIELD£40,000 to £48,000 + BENEFITSTHE COMPANY:We’re proud to be recruiting on behalf of a successful property management company that is looking to recruit a Service Charge Accountant to join the team.As a Service Charge Accountant, you’ll be responsible for the preparation of a portfolio of Client Accounts, Preparing Annual Service Charge Accounts, External Audit, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Monthly/Quarterly Reporting and Assisting with Year End Reconciliations.This is a great opportunity for an individual who has experience of Service Charge Accounts within the property industry and is keen to join a growing company.THE SERVICE CHARGE ACCOUNT ROLE: As the Service Charge Accountant, you’ll be reporting directly to the Financial Controller and be working alongside other Service Charge Accountant, each managing their own portfolio.Preparation of the annual service charge accounts and liaising with clients and auditors of year end accountsProducing draft annual service charge accounts, preparing accounts files and answering accounts queriesResponsible for Service Charge Balance Sheet Reconciliations and analytical review of Income & ExpenditureProducing monthly/quarterly and ad-hoc client reports and accounting analysisBank Reconciliations for year-end accounts as required.Liaison with Property Managers and Other Departments on accounting mattersEnsuring the integrity of accounting records and controlsPosting items on the management system when reconciling service charge accountsPosting Accruals and Prepayments on systemResponsible for the Credit control of own portfolio including issues reminders and escalating to legal THE PERSON: Must have current experience as a Service Charge Accountant / Client Accountant or similar role, within the property industry.Experience of Service Charges within the property industry is essential.Good organisational, communication and analytical skillsMust be competent with MS ExcelAny experience of Propman would be a significant advantage.strong Client Accounting experience as well as property management knowledge. Accounting Qualifications are not essential for this role, so QBE / Qualified by Experience are welcome to apply, as well as, part and fully qualified AAT / CIMA / ACCA / ACA candidates.
