Are you a passionate and skilled chef looking to make a difference in the lives of others? We have care home clients in Middlesbrough seeking talented and dedicated chefs to join their Kitchen team to provide nutritious and delicious meals to their residents. Location: Middlesbrough Position Type: Full-Time Hourly Rate: £11.44 - £14.00 Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook high-quality, nutritious meals that cater to the dietary needs and preferences of residents. Develop and create diverse menus that are both appealing and balanced, taking into account special dietary requirements within the allocated budget. Maintain a high level of food hygiene standards at all times. Work collaboratively with the care home staff to accommodate special meal requests and dietary restrictions. Manage food inventory and order supplies as needed, maintaining cost efficiency without compromising on quality. Manage and oversee kitchen staff. Maintain accurate records of food temperatures, storage, and waste management. Candidate Requirments: Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in a kitchen setting preferably in a care home, healthcare, or similar setting however this is not essential. Strong understanding of nutrition, dietary needs, and food safety standards. Excellent cooking skills and creativity in menu planning. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Ability to manage and plan a kitchen rota Strong leadership and team management skills.
