Job Title:Service Manager Salary: GBP 35,000 : GBP 40,000 Location:Southampton About your new company: A successful Forklift Dealership is seeking a Service Manager to lead their expanding Service department. Service Manager responsibilitiesTo manage the service department on a daily basis to achieve a yearly commercial target.To train and grow the team controlling the service division to enable competent and commercial decisions to be made while delivering a quality service.Efficiently manage queries, problems and disputes with sound judgement and solutions in line with company policies.To ensure that all hours and deadline targets are met within the service division.To promote a positive Health and Safety Culture throughout the service division in line with company policies.To manage risk within the service division through planning, protocols and a hands:on approach.Promote teamwork between the other divisions within the business to stimulate growth and efficiencies.To be entrepreneurial at every level.To be resourceful and have an ongoing drive for continual improvement. What the Service Manager will need to succeed:All round commercial awareness.The ability to problem solve and deliver solutions using the team and knowledge around you.To lift and drive the team around you in a dynamic fashion.To identify and manage risk.To be a hands:on manager when needed.You will require experience of managing, growing and training a team to follow company policies and processes to deliver a quality service at a B2B level.Setting, planning and budgeting targets for a team as well as forecasting net and gross profitability at a monthly management meeting.A reasonable level of mechanical practical ability. Service Manager Attributes Confident Office 365 user.Excellent proficiency in all forms of communication.Good motivation and engagement skills.Strong negotiation strategy.Exceptional organisational skills and able to prioritise efficiently.Awareness of internal staff and external customer needs.Able to direct employee's attention correctly.An effective team leader.Hungry for success.
